U.S. 1840 Forage Cap       This hat is made by one of the hat makers I buy from. It IS NOT a reproduction. Externally it is not bad, but internally it is modern. The band is 2 1/8" high and the top is 10 5/8" in diameter. The chin strap is made for imitation leather, which could be replaced with a real leather chin strap.
