Our M1861 U.S. (Union) Kepi: is made from top quality
dark blue wool. It has a leather brim, sweatband and adjustable chin strap
with a brass slide.
The 7th New York Kepi: Cadet Grey Top and Sides
with a Black Band. Black soutache braid on front, back and sides with a
circle of braid on the top. Black cotton lining and New York State seal
buttons. Standard Brim. Militia style 1/2" Chin Strap without brass slide.
Stamped Brass numeral "7" included.
The 12th New York Kepi: Dark Blue Chasseur kepi
with gold soutache on the crown, front, sides and around the band. New York
State seal buttons. Black lining with standard brim. 1/2” Chin strap without
slide. Brass “12” included.
The 14th New York Kepi: is made of Dark Blue top
and band, Red sides with black cotton lining and New York side buttons.
Standard Brim.
The 95th Pennsylvania Kepi: is made of Dark Blue Cap with Red
soutache braid on front, back and sides, band and top. Black cotton lining and US Eagle
buttons. Standard Brim.
Artillery Insignia is shown on the
M1861 US Kepi,
but NOT included. These hats come UNTRIMMED except as listed in their
description, although Branch Insignia, Regimental Number and
Company Letter can be added to purchase. Insignia, if purchased,

The 95th PA and 14th NY kepis are Custom made items, please allow 8 - 10

The US M1858 (Union) Forage Cap features
the distinctive "pre-war" (wider and somewhat flatter style) brim
of the early war forage caps. This is not a kepi brim. The cap is made from
top quality dark blue wool and is lined in black cotton. It has a leather
brim, sweatband and adjustable chin strap with a brass slide.
Enlisted Infantry Insignia is shown but not included. Hat comes
UNTRIMMED. Branch Insignia, Regimental Number and Company Letter can be added to
purchase. Insignia, if purchased, is supplied loose
and normally ships separately from cap.
The US M1861 forage cap features the round sloping
(crescent shaped) leather brim, made popular by General McDowell. Often called
the "bummer's cap", because so many of William Sherman's men wore them.
Same high quality materials as the Kepi. The officer's forage cap has a leather
binding on the edge of the brim (not shown). This cap was used by both Union and
Confederate officers and enlisted.
Cavalry Insignia is shown but not included. Hat comes UNTRIMMED.

U.S. M1861 Forage Cap, Officer or Enlisted (QM-0804)
The U.S. Enlisted Hardee Hat is the enlisted version of the Officers Hardee Hat.
It is the same hat as the Officers Hardee, except it DOES NOT have the ribbon band sewn around the brim edge.
Trimmed hat comes with Enlisted Brass Branch Insignia, Brass Hardee
Eagle, Hat Cord and 1 Plume. Regimental Number and Company Letter are additional. Branch trim colors are:
Artillery - Red, Cavalry - Yellow, Engineer - Yellow, Infantry - Lt. Blue and Ordnance - Wine. Trim is supplied
loose, NOT attached, if purchased.

The U.S. Enlisted Slouch Hat is the enlisted version of the Officers
Slouch Hat. It is the same hat as the Officers slouch, INSTEAD OF the ribbon band sewn around the brim
edge it has two rows of stitching. (PICTURE IS OF TRIMMED OFFICERS HAT.)
The Trimmed Hat comes with the hat cord (in the branch color) and brass branch
insignia. Branch trim colors are: Artillery - Red, Cavalry - Yellow, Engineer - Yellow, Infantry -
