Terrestrial and Celestial Globes, Antique Reproduction
These globes are a great home decor or office decor item, to dress up a room with some "Old World Charm" and a little bit of history.
Mercator Globe - 1541: Exact reproduction of the earliest produced matching set of globes. Reprints
of the original copperplate gores. Made in cooperation with the Royal Library in Bruxelles. The famous Dutch
cartographer Gerardus Mercator engraved the charts in 1541. Mercator's globes set the direction for 400 years of
globe making.
Hondius Globe - 1597: In 1597 Jodocus Hondius completed a terrestrial globe that gave an up-to-date
vision of the latest geographical discoveries. By 1600 Hondius had the upper hand in Dutch globe making, mostly
due to details discovered in Dutch trade voyages through the worldwide expansion of the East and West India
Companies.
The Mercator and Hondius globes are offered with several different display options: Hanging, Table / Desk Stand or a Renaissance Floor Stand. The size of the globe is different depending on the display option
selected.
Terrestrial Library Globe - 1745: Reproduction of globe by Robert de Vaugondy in a Hand wrought iron stand.
Armillary Sphere: The ancient art of Ptolemaic concept placed the earth at the center of the universe. Made for science, armillary spheres
appealed to the world of magic as well. Armillary dials have the earth (the wooden blue center) inside a mesh of bronze hoops, symbolizing the course of the planets as
known at the time. The course of the sun is shown by a wide band called the ecliptic circle. Armillary or astronomical spheres go back to B.C. Greece. The iron has been
"aged" to give the appearance of considerable antiquity.

British Butler Table, Country Trays and Campaign Travel Writing Desk
All these pieces are made from rich and sturdy mahogany wood.
They trays have a highly detailed Mariner's Star as intarsia and are made for
easy set-up and storage, the trays are detachable from the collapsible folding legs. They have classic
handgrips and 19th century ergonomics.
British officers didn't want to campaign without being able to enjoy their
afternoon tea and loved to bag a tiger or two between battles. To keep at least a semblance of
home-sweet-home comfort, the pack train carried furniture for the officers and staff. They were made
of solid mahogany or rosewood with indestructible brass hardware. These are pure and true replicas of
the furniture that made life worth living back then.
British Butler Table: This tray has two serving options: fold up sides for
compact look and fold down sides for maximum serving space. Beautiful brass detail.
Cape Town Field Table: This is the same as the British Butler Table, except
in a larger size.
Dickens Desk with Pullout: Writing desk with 3 drawers and pullout. This
is a good size desk and very functional desk, it is much larger than a normal travel desk. In fact I use
one for my personal desk at home.

Rocking Horses, Victorian
Is it because we didn't have one as a child? It's hardly possible
to think of a more timeless, popular, exciting toy that spanned ages and classes. Today's rocking horses
are hardly different from the ones Victorian children used to ride in their playrooms. Only now they're
popular, if pricey, home decor and are regarded less as toys. Our supplier's children grew up with a
pony-sized wooden horse made in Britain.
The Medium and Large Rocking Horses are both made from solid mahogany
and are expertly hand carved, hand-assembled and hand polished. Extreme attention and detail goes into the
creation of each masterpiece. The saddles and bridles are made of leather. They have brass hardware,
including the stirrups. They are both timeless pieces and a classic for any decor. The large rocking horse
is a swinging rocking horse and has a classic safety stand.
Small: Our petite rocking horse has all the same features as our larger
masterpiece. Hand carved and just the right size for mantel, desk, or pedestal. Size is 75cm x 13.5cm x
46cm, 29.5" x 5.25" x 18". We do have one of these in out store. Can ship by U.S. Mail or UPS.
Medium: Commanding presence with a size that fits pretty much everywhere. Iconic
children’s playroom classic, hand carved in rich polished mahogany, saddler’s accoutrements, classic elegantly
curved rockers. Size is 157cm x 31.5cm x 94cm, 61.75" x 12.5" x 37"". This item must be
shipped by Truck, so shipping MAY vary from what the shopping cart shows.
Large: In the classic British manner, hand sculpted in laminated and hand polished
mahogany. Synonymous with quality and detail. Truly a work of art. This reproduction is in high demand. Each
piece made to order and truly unique. Swing horse on classic safety stand. The safety rockers are chrome plated.
Size is 143cm x 46cm x 120cm, 56.5" x 18" x 47.25". This item must be shipped by Truck, so
shipping MAY vary from what the shopping cart shows.

to capture or immobilize (checkmate) the opponent’s king. Sir, though the now-standard rules
of playing chess first became generally accepted in Europe in 16th century, but the game

popularly known as ‘Shatranj’. The game was hobby and in some cases passion for the Kings and

of light. There is a wire bale handle with a loop so that it can be hung up. It is designed to use
candles up to 5" tall.
The Paul Revere Candle Lantern is made from pierced tin and has a
pierced door. It does not have any class panels. This lantern will work well in a windy environment
or for walking with. It has a pewter finish. There is a loop on the top so that it can be hung up.

opened, the candle arm swivels out and the panel of semi-transparent mica closes over to form a sturdy
triangular lantern. Designed for 3/8" x 4" candles.
The Traveler's Candle Holder come as a pair that screw together to make a
compact travel item. When screwed together it looks somewhat like a donut. Sold brass 3.75" in
diameter and 1.75" high when closed.

shelf and the rest to hang out over the edge. Sold brass 12.5" long x 3.25" wide x 5"
high. Dates from 1900 or somewhat before.

6.75" (1/2') deep.
The Renaissance Stand and Lausanne Stand candle holders are made of Hand-Wrought Iron. Admittedly, candles are not the most modern of
lighting, but they are the most romantic and nostalgic. That's why these antique originals are reproduced as candlelit. Some date back to the Renaissance, others to the
18th and 19th centuries. Hand-Wrought, made to last forever if lovingly cared for.
This Lantern Holder / Stand is 44" tall, after being set into the
ground and is made of 1/2" steel stock. It DOES NOT come with lantern as shown, but can be used
with any hang-able lantern on this page.

8 tube mold for making 10" candles.
Candles are available in 11/16" x 5 7/8" straight and 13/16"
x 8" tapered (12" or higher lanterns).
